Exit From Office: I Thank God For Starting, Ending It Very Well – Princess Ademehin

Princess Jumoke Jimbo – Ademehin, the immediate past Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA speaking with THE IMPACT before driving out of the council secretariat on Wednesday,

Princess Olajumoke Jimbo – Ademehin, the immediate past Council Chairman and the pioneer Vice Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, has said that she started and ended her tenure as two – term Chairman of the council, very well.

Her tenure came to an end on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, following the swearing – in of a new Chairman of the Council, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olarewaju.

Princess Ademehin spoke with THE IMPACT while exiting the council Secretariat on Wednesday afternoon after attending the inauguration of the new Councillors and the 5th Assembly of Ikorodu West LCDA by the new Chairman.

“I want to thank God for the last four years. It is His doings and it is marvelous in my eyes. It is not by my power nor by my wisdom that we started well and ended well, but by His grace”, Princess Ademehin said.

“I used to pray all the time to God that He should preserve me and my cabinet that came in joyfully, that we should end our tenure joyfully.

“I want to thank God for ending it well by His grace.

Pointing to a big edifice that her administration constructed as administrative office extension and commissioned recently, the outgone council chairman said that she felt fulfilled putting it the building in place.

“I am also very happy for this beautiful edifice that we were able to build for the use of my successor. Why we have done that is because I discovered during my first tenure that members of the management and public office holders operated in an unconducive environment”, she recalled.

Princess Jimbo – Ademehin leaving the council with one of her aides and other party members after the swearing -in ceremony for the elected Councilors on Wednesday.

“I thank God for making my mission to be accomplished.

She pleaded with stakeholders in the council to give necessary support to her successor.

“I am using this opportunity to plead with the whole community, especially the Community Development Associations (CDAs)/Community Development Committee (CDC), that they should give support extended to my government to my successor too”, Princess Ademehin said.

The former Council Chairman also advised the new Council boss to ensure that people, especially women, are empowered.

“My advice to my successor is to ensure that he impacts on the people of the council, particularly in the area of empowerment. He should empower our people, especially our women who are always with us in the rain and in sun for campaign. After campaigning, they are still the ones that will take care of their children and husbands.

“Women put more efforts into party affairs and ad a result, they need to be taken good care of. God will help the chairman and his cabinet in achieving this.

Meanwhile, the former chairman has committed her next engagement after exit from office, to the hands of God whom she said has been doing it for her.

“I thank God for the time that I served. I know that it is God that is doing it and He is still there reigning and He will take me to the next level”, she said.

“That is my prayer and I know that He will take me to the highest level”.
